Documentaries

In 1998, Pipin Productions
created the series Planeta Oceanus, which was co-produced
by TELEVISA. This
13 1-hour episodes series was hosted
by Audrey
Mestre and Pipin Ferreras. They traveled to different
corners of the
world to capture the
underwater realm through the eyes of a freediver.
This series was successfully
broadcast in Mexico and other countries of Latin America.
The
episodes of this series are:
Los Amantes del Abismo I y II
(Lovers of the Abyss I & II): Tells the story of some
freediving records made by Pipin and how Audrey met Pipin and became his
partner. |

Mi Amigo Copán (My Friend
Copán): Shows the special relationship between two dolphins,
Copan and Maya, with Pipin and Audrey. |

La Isla del Tesoro (Treasure
Island): Audrey and Pipin travel to Coco Island and discover
that the greater treasure is its flora and fauna. |

En Nombre de los Lobos (In
the Name of Sea Lions): While in Galápagos Island, Audrey and
Pipin discover and expose the cruel reality of the sea lions that
inhabit the island. |

Jorobadas I y II (In Search of the Humpback Whales I & II):
The crew of Planeta Oceanus travel to Silver Banks in Dominican Republic
and look for an encounter with the Humpback whales. |

Lo que Charles Darwin no vió
(What Charles Darwin did not see): Audrey and Pipin travel to
Galapagos and expose the wonders of its underwater realm. |

Tiburones, Los Señores del
Arrecife (Sharks, Masters of the Reef): Audrey and Pipin swim in
the middle of a school of sharks while being fed in Bahamas. Pipin tries
to feed them, using just the air of his lungs, without help or air
tanks. |

Sirenas de Rio Cristal
(Mermaids of Crystal River): There is river in Florida that
gathers manatees due to its temperature. Audrey and Pipin visit it and
swim with that noble creature. |

(The Mysteries of the Red Sea): The Red Sea in Egypt has one of
the most impressive and varied underwater fauna. Pipin and Audrey
uncover its mysteries. |

(The Art of Spearfishing): Although criticized, spearfishing is
and art that requires skills, good physical and mental form. This
episode shows that spearfishing, in spite of what some people
think, does not go against nature. |

A compilation of the series, this episode shows the close relationship
between men and sea. |

Exploring Oceanus, which was
a version of
Planeta Oceanus adapted for the
Hispanic Market in
the United States.
