Living with Pipin, I couldn’t look away from freediving. Although I had always dived with Scuba, I wanted to experience what he experienced by going down without the burden of the tank and the whole equipment. By that time, he was training a girl to become a freediver, so I joined them. After a while, I learned all the exercises by heart, and I would even train the girl when he was busy or tired. He realized that I had the conditions to make freediving a career and he proposed to train me harder to establish a record.

It is very difficult to live with someone that experiences sensations unknown by the rest of the world, sensations that can’t be described or shared. That is why in 1997 I took the decision of setting my first record in Freediving and after that I have set three more records. I thought that if I could enter his underwater world, I could be closer to him…and I did. On August 18^th, 1999 we got married over a dock, near the sea, of course…

Many people ask how after just 4 years practicing freediving I have already reached 130 meters when previous generations dedicated their lives to get to the 100 meters mark. The truth is that I don’t think I have anything in special, only the luck of living with an extraordinary person whom I trust and that transmitted me his 15 years of knowledge and experience as a professional, with no limits…
