Hello to all the faithful readers of this page.
As many might know, she was born in Puerto Aventura in the state of Quintana Roo on November 16, 2002, then did an internship in Cozumel and then in Isla Mujeres, still in the state of Quintana Roo. She spent a few months at Six Flakes which is a great fair where there are many games and which is located in Mexico City. A few months later, she returned to Puerto Aventura to give birth to her first baby, and she has been now in Cabo San Lucas, in the state of Baja California Sur, still in Mexico, now for a few years.
Now she is the mother of 4 dolphins, 3 males and a female. The first, a small male by the name of Hidalgo was born on June 24, 2010. Interestingly, at the time of his birth, we had lived in the state of Hidalgo for 3 years and no one at Dolphin Dicovery knew about it. So it is purely coincidental that this little baby is named after the state we live in. Personally, we saw it as a sign of destiny. He was our first dolphin grandson.
"Audrey" was pregnant when we saw her on Six Flakes. We were very lucky to attend her ultrasound. It was a very emotional moment. We were able to see this little dolphin moving in its mother's womb who allowed herself to be examined without any problem. We were invited by her coach, Andrea, whom we met at the baptism of "Audrey" in Puerto Aventura and with whom we remain in contact. A friendship was born, as was the bond we still have with Edgar, the vet who followed her pregnancy and the birth of Hidalgo. Needless to say, we went to meet this little guy. It was a magical moment for us, we felt that she was proud to introduce it to us.
On August 20, 2012, "Audrey" gave birth to a little female who goes by the name of Cosette. Another coincidence, we are French and Cosette is the heroine of one of Victor Hugo's books, a classic of French literature. At that point, I asked Edgar how the names of the newborns were assigned. I wanted to know if it was a coincidence or if someone wanted to make us happy.
In fact, the head of Dolphin Discovery is offered a list of names and the number of males and females to baptize. He is the one who writes the name of each dolphin at random. So it's pure coincidence that once again this little female has a spiritual relationship with us. We took a little trip again to meet this little female who was only a few days old when we first saw her.
On August 25, 2016, Henry was born. He was born in Cabo San Lucas where "Audrey" has lived and worked for some time. Third match for the name of this little dolphin. Audrey's paternal grandfather was called Henri (French spelling) and my middle name is Henriette. So our third dolphin grandson is named after two members of Audrey's family.
We met him in July of that same year. He was not working yet and was close to his mother. At the time, there was a newcomer to the Dolphin Discovery, a male sea lion who was given the name "Pipin." The family had to be rebuilt. It's done.
We were able to swim with them, caress them, give them kisses and it is always very moving for us to see how "Audrey" takes care of her little ones, how proud she is to introduce them to us. I often told my daughter Audrey that her love for the sea was so great that the only grandchildren she was going to give us were dolphins. It made her laugh, but I think she took my words seriously.
The last of their children was born last year, another little boy named Frodo. It is no coincidence this time with us. At least it's not a direct coincidence, but I personally saw one, a bit far-fetched, I have to admit, but I want to believe it. Audrey has a cousin who she adored and who, too, adores her. They were very close, she went to see her when she made the record in La Palma in Spain, he came to Mexico when there was a meeting of Mexican children with French children from the Association "Enfance et Partage" on the island of Cozumel. His name is Frédérick but he calls himself Fred, because he likes it better, so Fred, Frodo, I see a relationship. Don't you?
We still do not know him, we cannot travel because of the pandemic and we know that "Audrey" forgives this absence. We will meet him as soon as the situation permits.
This is the youngest and we know that she pampers it a lot. Edgar told us that she spoils him so much that he is a little lazy to eat, that he would rather keep sucking instead of starting to eat the little fish they give him. He plays with him and then he returns to his mother's breast.
Currently, Hidalgo and Cosette work at the Dolphin Discovery center in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo state. We haven't seen them in a while, however, we had promised to see them again. But since we are always in contact with Edgar, we often hear from everyone. Henry and Frodo are with their mom in Cabo San Lucas.
I will be happy to attach some photos of all these little ones.
See you soon for more news from all of them, mom and kids. As soon as I have them, I'll be sure to share them with you.
